Founded in 1991 and based at 66 Main Road in Claremont, this school charges a flat ZAR 1,580 per week for General English at 15 lessons a week, quoted in 4, 8 and 12 week blocks — roughly a third of what the premium schools charge, which makes a 12 month stay realistic on a modest budget. It is accredited with English South Africa and registered with QCTO, DHET and SATSA. Two details matter for Gulf families in particular: host families can prepare halal food, and there is a mosque two minutes from the school on foot. The nationality mix is unusually even, with no single nationality above 5%, so students are forced to speak English rather than falling back on Arabic.
